Before we knew Winter Olympics will be there and people around the world come to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The games will be the
12-28 February 2010. There was a lot of work around Vancouver and Whistler for the big games. The last Olympic Games held in Calgary Canada, Alberta in 1988. The excitement increases as final preparations are in place for this special event.
Some event sites.
Cypress Mountain, West Vancouver, British Columbia. where snowboarding, freestyle skiing, moguls and skiing will take place.
Snow Zone Whistler – Blackcomb Mountain is the site for the sled, luge, skeleton and
Whistler Creekside – Whistler Mountain will host the alpine skiing, downhill and Super G.
Whistler Olympic Park – Callaghan Valley Biathlon, Cross Country, Nordic combined and ski jumping.
UBC Winter Sports Center – University British Columbia is home to play ice hockey and sledge hockey.
Coliseum – Hastings Park will have figure skating and speed skating short track.
Hillcrest / Nat Bailey Stadium Park will curling events.
GM Place – Vancouver Downtown is also home to some games of hockey.
BC Place Stadium will host the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and Awards night.
Whistler Celebration Plaza also participate in ceremonies celebrating the victory.

They will be sold in four different stages. Ticket prices range from $ 25.00 – $ 1,100.00.
Opening Ceremonies $ 175 – $ 1100
Closing Ceremony $ 175 – $ 775
Hockey Finals $ 350, $ 450, $ 775
Figure Skating Gala Exhibition $ 175 – $ 525
The cheapest tickets are for cross-country skiing $ 25 – $ 75 women's ice hockey will cost $ 25.
Some of the most popular events be sold as a lottery. There will be a ticket online buying and selling exchange program.
General information.
It would be better to start planning your trip to the Winter Olympics, as soon as possible that housing may be limited. If you are flying international airport Vancouver Vancouver Airport (YVR). Whistler is approximately 2 hours drive from the airport. Alternative accommodation would be to stay in Seattle WA. Seattle Airport called Sea-Tac Airport. This is a 3:00 player and you would have to cross the border. Remember that passports are required at the crossing.
