something weird!?

in front of my house is a privet park. I can take my dog trying to play. I bin latley Anamalis deaths, mainly wild birds. only the bird's body is there, but the head of the disappeared. which could kill these animals? and once saw a rat and had beheaded dead. Yesterday I saw a lot of feathers everywhere but no blood or body of the animal. This thing is killing for pleasure? I heard there are coyotes and hawks in my neighborhood. I live in Seattle!
