How I can get Medicare / Medicaid to pay for an album scheduled light therapy for SAD?

I began receiving disability benefits SSDI in January 2009 so far, yet I have Medicaid, but I'll be connected to Medicare in January 2010, so I'm a bit confused about my insurance now. My new psychiatrist has suggested I seek a light therapy lamp for seasonal depression, but they are very expensive and I can not go buy one unless you can get it covered. Contraction said he would sign this I have to get it, but she does not know if the process that I find it really difficult for me because I tend to have panic attacks when I try deal with paperwork and confusion agencies. I know someone who is covered by the VA, but that's a good different from what I have. Actually I have no idea who ask about it and I can still get more depressed because the sun in Seattle has been hiding for weeks. Anyone have any idea?

It's when you need to become very good friends with your case manager. This would be considered an alternative therapy. It is not uncommon for Medicare or Medicaid to pay for alternative therapies, but your doctor has already said he would have to sign a waiver. So call your case manager, said he was prescribed, and ask that this forward.
