What I can do to make sure I get into a good college?

I am a junior. GPA: 3.653 PSAT: top 82 percentile (do not take the SAT yet) Classes: / many honors college credit, AP, many Duel (secondary and college) credit classes taken on a local university. Extra: Band (Tuba), Jazz band (String Bass), oversight and field (shot put), Link Crew, job experience as a tutor, I want to become a neurologist or neurosurgeon. What I can do to make sure I get into a good university like University of Washington, Seattle, and Johns Hopkins?

You already have a shot pretty good, I can say. Some things you can do: Score on the right to take the SAT and get good results in the ACT know why you want to attend this school. have a curriculum vitae. Although this is not required by most schools, you get everything in order. You have to include work experience and dates when you were in all your programs workstation / suggest taking the SAT II Subject Tests in areas that are good or are relevant to your area. This is also why under the Act is precious: it includes part of science Write all tests, including additional matierial you can, but this is optional. Having neutral references, such as teachers school, you know well and who have a strong positive image of you. Try to get a reference from different regions, such as a teacher of core subjects, one from one of your activities extracurricular, one of a kind that is important for your career. You can even try to get a school administrator. However, there is a limit on the number of references, you may have to choose carefully. Include any volunteer work you have done. include everything you can imagine. For example, if you were a student and the honors that have been inducted into the National Honor Society, include it. If you have a disability or extenuating circumstances feel hampered its functioning in any way, you can be opportunity to speak. What could be either a disability such as dyslexia or add a single parent. I think many of these schools to ask if I had to work during their studies, and why, especially if you think that this had a negative impact on performance. You can play this, despite the good grades. Other tips: Start early: have time to look over everything before submission to ensure you have included all the little details can electronic ink. Test your tests, ask someone further proof of them and try again. A good test can be very important to treat income from their preferred school. I am under the impression that people who do that are considered special. If not allowed in admissions at the beginning, always accepted through regular admission. However, if you do this, you must agree to apply to this school and other strange things. Except that you have good grades and a wide range of extracurricular activities. Only play and do well on tests. One last thing. Since you are a junior and test some more time to enter an extracurricular activity that will help prepare for their elders. Since you want to be a neurologist or neurosurgeon to see if the school offers an anatomy and physiology courses, has a UIL Science Team, or other things. Some schools have special programs such as HOSA, or Health Occupations Students of America. Search for activities such as this momentum. Good luck!
