Need advice from a trip to Seattle!?
I will travel to Seattle in two weeks with a good friend. How many days do we need there? Would you recommend the aquarium and the zoo, or are almost like any other zoo or aquarium? Have you ever walked metro? Is it really worth it? And can you take pictures? We are also thinking of going down to Portland. Could do in a day or need more time than that? Sorry for so many questions! Thanks advance for your help!
If you go in two weeks will miss the big music festival at Seattle Center, but that's OK – there's plenty to see and do! Sure to allow sufficient time to Pike Place Market – a spectacular collection of quaint shops and eclectic. I do not know about the aquarium and zoo – has never had time enough to check 'em out, but Pioneer Square is cool, as is the metro. That's where I learned the answer to the question: What Thomas Crapper invented? (Three guesses.) The tour gives you a new perspective in Seattle and much more! I also heard that the Botanical Garden a visit, if I have not seen it myself. Islands San Juan is within walking distance, but at least take the ferry! You can tour the Lady Washington, if the former director-present in Lake Washington. There is certainly enough to keep you entertained for 3 or 4 days, almost non-stop! A Day Trip to Portland? Unrealistic – first, is 175 miles each way, and secondly, because the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry will have at least a day, for himself – not to be missed!
