A subtle, moving in silent comedy romantic, "It interests" involved, but after a while you wonder why. Then he understood why: Meryl Streep and its intrinsic appeal the immortal screen. And if you are a baby boomer, you know why, at a deeper level.

With the somewhat complicated plot, with the simplest and most predictable, The film will first arrive as a sub-ambitious. Even as a chick flick, compared such offers out there in these modern times, it feels initially low.

I mean, just does not exist, at least on the surface, a lot happening here. You will not find clever and exciting twists and sophistication the classical genre, like "When Harry Met Sally" and "White Nights Seattle.

But what is the plot is natural in a triangle love between three suburban 50-somethings call, one of them played by Streep, whose total energy of attraction is developed with an irresistible force. That is, can have in all this. The suspense is mild and pleasant.

And the film is not without some really funny moments, especially towards the final resolution. It may be denial by little, however, that Meryl Streep is the draw of the film more attractive the wound with 50 years of age who see something of themselves here. Neither the nature Streep, Jane, and others are substantive enough to go in a paper in this comedy. The script is decent, but limited in scope. Is that it sets up its first three characters as very likable. You really want the best for them. However, it is a triangle. Something will break. Can you laugh a little in the way? Yes, definitely. And as a tragi-comic note to the adage that girls grow up, but all children grow up, has a high-pitched.

Jane (Meryl Streep), a mother of three grown children, owns a thriving bakery Santa Barbara gourmet restaurant. Although divorced, have fared worse, was 10 years ago, kind, despite it was a corridor of petticoats. During these years, Jake (Alec Baldwin) and the meeting again by chance or sometimes children share, it is always nice. And this pretty girl, Agnes (Lake Bell), who had stolen the affections of Jake, was married.

Jane, despite her rewarding career, not content with aging and investigation of some plastic surgery. In the department look better, but would also like to redo her kitchen. For this, we present architect Adam (Steve Martin).

But the real intrigue that arise among people 50 years and some are with Jake. It seems that Jane and Jake are now joined by the advent of her son's college graduation. The dining celebration involving innocent proves to be anything but. In fact, Jake is a re-discovery of Jane. Is your taste – very real.

And designer kitchens Adam – divorced. And extremely vulnerable.

So, ironically, Jane has become the another woman. Jake and Adam, realizing that the price they see regularly, both begin in earnest.

Other consequences on children's entertainment and more humor, (friends of Jane's Rita Wilson, Mary Kay Place, Alexandra Wentworth, Nora Dunn), who shot with lots of girls chicken malice, and knowledge of that sex can only be understood.

Jake's wife, Agnes, is a personality, ugly, required.

Applause for Steve Martin in a tender and finely executed on sensitized paper. Alex Baldwin is quite useful and Meryl Streep, Well …
