Other Hawaiian islands to visit for cheap?

What else to visit the island, which are cheaper than Waikiki? Its obvious its a great tourist attraction. I wanted to go, but all hotels are expensive night. I do not want to spend $ 90 or more per night. My wife and I want to go for five days with the children. My wife has been to Maui and do not like. She said her older people and their "too" quiet. What are the other islands? Hotels? are clean beaches and clear water? We always want to do fun things like restaurants, walking, shopping, Luau. We are 25 years and want to do something fun on a budget. We left the Seattle airport and want to go out when its hot there, but not peak in high season when its more expensive.
