Does anyone in the Seattle / Redmond area in search of a new employee?
I'm moving here next Wednesday with only my cats, my clothes and some money, trying to start from scratch and so on. I have many years of public relations, quality control and sales but also how to apply local Gamasutra monster.com and do not really know the area, therefore I am not very wise about where to go for work / agencies / etc If people living in the region, do you know any good place for companies that hire, or at least point me to a temporary employment agency in good standing? I need to find a job paying at least $ 11 an hour $ 14 or less to be semi-comfortable. I have extensive experience in retail as well, and I'm not above selling retail if paid very well. Thanks in advance, never lived in the north, I am very excited and happy to leave California.
There are many good employeers in the region. Microsoft and Google on the east side of Lake Washington (of course) are compensated employeers solids and exceptional benefits. Amazon.com employee is also considered a good western Lake Washington. The city of Seattle is a good choice. (Seattle is hiring police and firefighters. The tunnel is also growing for light rail.) Weyerhaueser an office center and many large enterprises. I recommend you go to the branch library downtown Seattle to compile a list of employeers in the region with executives names and phone numbers. A research librarian can point you in the right direction. Send letters to the leaders and follow-up telephone calls at the office. Good luck in your search. I guess it is not necessary to hire an employment agency. Sometimes they are ineffective and often make unreasonable reductions when individuals place.
