Going to Princeton or Brown?
Hello everyone, I am a student from Italy, Vincenzo my name, and when I finish school I went, like Princeton and the University Brown Computer Science Department. I chose this because Princeton University offers full financial aid for international students and Brown, because it offers financial assistance based on need to students. I know many programming languages – C – C + + – Java – Python – Perl – AT & T Assembler, Intel Assembler – And just the knowledge of Ajax, I think my average is 3.5 (in Italian, because the marks of the school is 1 10) and play soccer very well, and I have the TOEFL. I chances of being admitted with financial support in this school. (Another option is the University of Seattle). Pardon my American-English. My problem is funding. I am looking for a university to provide full financial aid to students.
It will be very difficult to admit to any of these schools. They are two in rather small – only about 1,400 first-year student each, and thousands of the best students in the United States apply to everyone. The number of students receiving grants is probably very low – I guess not more than six to ten of each year for the world. Therefore, the odds are not good. But this does not mean you should stop smoking. There are 3800 schools in the United States and many of them have departments for excellence in computer science. I suggest you go to collegeboard.com or princetonreview and see lists of 100 or 300 best schools. Each of them will give a very good education, and you might have a better chance of getting a scholarship.
