I'm too Seattle for New Year and I want to see fireworks in the SpaceNeedle, inside information please help?
I live in Brentwood, California, and most of my family lives in Vancouver, Canada, we decided that we would all gather in Seattle this year! 23 also January 2! We also want to go to downtown Seattle and near the Space Needle, we can see the fireworks up close and shoot and take photos. We know it will to be crazy, but I wanted to do anyway! I was wondering … We also car from the hotel too, the Space Needle … we saw in Google maps are a triangle as a car park near the tower, much was expected, because there are a few hours before midnight! Do you know if they close all parking and is only for pedestrians so they can see? The streets are closed? So what I'm asking is … We could also do what we set out, or we can do something more? If so any recommendation or advice? So is there any tool in the city can see the fireworks, but still stay in the car? Thanks much and Happy Holidays!
Hey, I am a Marilyn Monroe fan, too! Well, this is what I know with certainty. There are many places in Seattle where you can park the car and see the space needle (and taking into account some of the cold we've had lately, this could be a good idea to come to New Years Eve). Some of the best Places are on Queen Anne Hill (directly above the center of the city of Seattle) and the Capitol. But many others have the same idea of seeing the parking lot and their cars, so what better monitor their parking lot during the day and arrive early to avoid losing a good! Since parking, I think all parking lots in the vicinity of the Space Needle will be open. (If it is too cold, they might even stay in your car plenty of parking and clearly see the needle.) Most of the fun, however, park and sit under the needle with thousands of others who will be there. If time permits, all you do is park the car a few blocks away (maybe even free parking meters on the street …. not run after 6 pm) and walk to the base of the needle and hold from there. But "stay in the car "idea is excellent if it is cold or rainy, and you can get a clear view of the needle. Have fun!
