Seattle Museums

If you like to learn, and I hope you do, because once you stop learning, there really is no need to continue to exist, then there will be plenty of museums in and around Seattle, Washington to feed the mind, while entertaining and family. The large number of museums in this area makes a very interesting place to visit. There are museums here that cover everything from the Klondike gold rush wooden houses and many, many things in between.

Plus the two museums mentioned above, there are several interesting museums visiting Seattle. The first is the Museum of Aviation. This is probably one of the museums that feels Seattle prouder. It is consistently voted one of, if not the best of its kind in the country. Learn more about the history of aviation and even a ride in a flight simulator or access to the original Air Force One does not matter how you feel about flying, I'm pretty sure someone in your party (especially if children) is that the museum is a great interest.

The Northwest Railway Museum is another museum that not only education but also fun for the whole family. Visit the Depot, which has been completely restored to its former glory behind or a ride on a train. Whatever your desire, your little guy (even yours) Guy's eyes light up in as little thought of riding the rails. The mission of this museum is to educate the public about the vital role that railroads played in the development of the state of Washington through history. I believe that achieving their goals very well and I'm happy to do more to educate the public about them and their mission.

The museum side which is unusual, yet most interesting and educational is the Whale Museum. This is especially useful if you intend to whale watching while visiting the great city of Seattle. Whale watching is always fun and even more fun if you're armed with the knowledge that can be obtained by spending a little time learning about the whales in the Whale Museum before leaving on your trip whales.

The Odyssey Maritime Discovery Center is another major museums in Seattle. This museum not only offers great resources and information on maritime history, which is so important to Seattle today, but interactive exhibits that encourage children to learn and "learning doing. "It is an ideal place to spend the day, but watch out for hours a day you plan to attend because this center has hours from Monday to Friday shorter most museums.

The Wing Luke Asian Museum is the only museum of its kind in the U.S. This museum is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Asia and Pacific American culture, history and art. This museum houses a permanent exhibition is set up to remember the internment camps that have been used for Japanese-Americans during World War II world. I think more than anything is an important reminder and worth the visit and there are many exhibitions that offer more entertainment and education.

I hope you will visit one or more of these great museums. I think you'll be surprised how many educational and entertaining, they are actually for the whole family.
