Where is a safe place to live in Seattle, WA?

I will be attending Seattle University in January and I wonder if they are areas that are safe and pleasant living. I would be willing to travel up to 10 miles from the university if it means living off center. In general, I just want recommendations from Nice, housing Affordable in Seattle. Looking for a studio. Thank you!

Not your criteria. Green Lake is quite safe, but is very expensive and limited. You can check the codes individual postal crime statistics in www.bestplaces.net. You may want to live on the east side, including Bellevue. Good luck.
