Summer Jobs with the U. S. National Park Service (NPS) are an excellent way to tell if a work of NPS is right for you. Some winter semester NPS employees also work in the spring and autumn seasonal jobs outdoors from park to park throughout the year.

Seasonal Ranger

The NPS hires two kinds of rangers, interpretation and enforcement. Most guards are hired by Ranger, in collaboration with the public. The guards from giving lectures, excursions to direct, coordinate special events, reception staff, support teachers, and respond questions from visitors. May also be involved in the design and maintenance of exhibitions, publications and other tasks such as mitigation of non-native plants.

Summer Rangers are often the teachers, and many parks reserve a specific position of a master teacher for the Ranger program for teachers. This program is designed to promote cooperation between schools and national parks. Scientific season

The NPS sometimes offers seasonal biologists, geologists and other scientist positions.
