Whats the Monthly Buss Pass/Metro Buss Pass Cost?
i will be living in Seattle in the fall, around the downtown area, and I was wondering how much is a monthly metro/bus pass in Seattle. The only places I would need transportation is Ballard area, Downtown and Kirkland. Just those areas, what are the monthly charges and how do they work? I went online to the King County Metro site and its all confusing. Down where i live its a flat rate of $10/month but its a small town so im assuming Seattle is a lot more expensive and probly better. anyone know? thanks!!!
oohhh also i forgot to mentioned i will be attending college there so i might be eligible for student discounts
don’t know what student discounts are available.
I pay 72 bucks for one zone peak hour pass….
if you were to pay when you got on bus it would cost you $1.75 for off peak one zone….
and during peak hours it would cost you $2.00.
Ballard to Downtown roundtrip would cost you 4.00 a day
20 bucks a week.
throw in a trip to Kirkland and you could be looking at another 2 two and a half bucks…
you’re up to
30 bucks a week
It doesn’t take too much bussing to be into 8-10 bucks a day
72 bucks for one zone peak pass for a month well worth the price…..
and
you don’t have to hassle with having exact change for bus
that means not having to go into store and buy some item you don’t need just to get change for bus
not having to hassle with transfers a good thing too.
they are flimsy little things that get lost in corner of pocket
I would be screwed without bus pass cause I ride Metro all the time.

and ….bus pass lets you ride all day…
you could bus it around Seattle to your hearts content…
24 hours a day
