Is it absolutely necessary to have a car in Seattle?
I have the intention of finding a job in downtown Seattle. My hours will be the standard Monday to Friday 8:00 to 17:00. I have the intention to live well in the UDistrict or the Capitol. I can count with your feet and take the bus? Or a car is necessary?
One of my friends who went to Florida after I did spend his first two years here without a car. He came, took the bus and got everything right. And when I wanted a car to leave town or go to IKEA and buy things too large to regard rent. Later he was awarded the "Flexcar" plan where people share cars. Seattle has a large mass transit and yes – tons of people without vehicles perfectly here. Parking is also a (beep) in downtown Seattle – most apartments have limited space and require a monthly fee Parking – have a car when you live the center can be very expensive. When you work and can charge for parking – to save money to reach on foot / bus.
