Object Type Sculpture in Lake Washington?

I am relatively new to the Seattle area. At the west end of the bridge 520 there are two bright objects, one on each side of the bridge. They're like long, inverted pyramids, immersed in water, and cover signs of what looks like glass or reflective metal in shades of gold, green and blue (I think). They are illuminated by spotlights in the night. Does anyone know what they are? I do not know if they are navigational aids, illustrations or anything else. Nobody knows? Am totally confused!

These sculptures. Sources had long ago, but it never works. From historylink.com "Nellie Cornish Sculpture until west end of the bridge were installed in the 1990s on the foundations of ancient sources. "
