Just set up my brand new Sky Broadband router.
I have Sky Broadband – up to 20mb/s & Unlimited Download Limit.

Im just surfing the web and everything seems normal.. except I am currently downloading a 253mb file @ 90-110 kb/s

This can’t be right?!
I live about 0.5 miles from the Telephone Exchange, and my
Speed Test results go like this .. :

I live in London UK, but using ‘Speakeasy/speedtest’
to Seattle, WA Server.. It gave these results :

Download Speed: 3150 kbps (393.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 467 kbps (58.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

Is this right from a UPTO 20mb broadband?

My internet has only been activated today, will it get better if I leave it?
If no, is there anything I can do to improve my painful speed?
