
At the heart of the Cascade Mountains of Washington State's Lake Wenatchee, a mountain lake environment that attracts thousands of tourists and is a center for recreation activity. Lake Wenatchee offers many things to do and is easy to access.
Lake Wenatchee is the center of the state and is accessible from both sides of the state through of Highway 2. Seattle travelers are probably more to come Stevens Pass, west, while traveling from Eastern Washington held by the city of Wenatchee or Blewett Pass. The lake is 244 feet deep at its deepest and is 6 miles long with just over 13 miles of shoreline. Wenatchee lake is fed by the White River and Little Wenatchee River and snow runoff from the surrounding mountains. Wenatchee Lake flows into the eastern end in the Wenatchee River, which flows through the cities Leavenworth, Cashmere and Wenatchee before emptying into the Columbia River.
Navigation and fishing are available on the lake, camping with a number of different places. On the shore, right at the place where the lake empties into the Wenatchee River, is Lake Wenatchee State Park. State Park is divided by the Wenatchee River in a north section and south section with the south pier, the beach, roped off swimming area. The range is full of people during the hot days of summer with campers and locals in the cool mountain water. Before going into the game south of Lake Wenatchee State Park drive through Nason Creek camp. Nason Creek flows through this small camp, then in the Wenatchee River. Just before entering the state park, the street on the left if I were to do this for three to four miles you will see Glacier Field Camp near the end West Lake Wenatchee. Many Glacier View campsites sit right on the lakeshore. There is also a walk to Lost Lake, which begins on a trail, camp near Glacier Vista. Lost Lake is feasible and offers a magnificent glacier-fed swimming experience. More Touring is available near the State Park along the path of Nason Creek.
Camping and hiking are also available west of Lake Wenatchee White River and Little Wenatchee River drainage area. The camps can be found at this area are more primitive in what they offer, but also are more isolated and private. In this sense, you can access walks that link with the famous Pacific Coast Trail (PCT), which extends from Canada to California, or hiking smaller Twin Lakes and elsewhere. Forest Service Roads and Operating Forest are also abundant in this area. West Lake Wenatchee, again on Route 2 takes you to Stevens Pass, which offers skiing in winter.
To the north is Lake Wenatchee Lake fish and true to its name, which is what is known. There are many rental opportunities for lake fishing boats and cabins to stay in. In addition to the lake fish at night to go to Chiwawa River region famous for its trail system that is usable on foot, mountain bike, dirt bike, and horse depending on the region where walkers are in for more resistance, trails in the area also network your way through the mountains to Entiat and Chelan Lake Chelan, and the cities Lucerne, Holden Village, and Stehekin, none of which are accessible along the road outside, and also the beautiful Entiat River Valley.
Hiking, climbing and camping are available in the south of Lake Wenatchee in the canyon of river ice. The river flows into the Wenatchee River, Icicle City of Leavenworth. Many of the state, if not COUNTRYERA, trails are the best out of Leavenworth in the desert zone, the lakes of the Alps. Hiking and camping permits are required for most parts of the region as a means of limiting the human impact on this precious environment. Icicle Canyon also offers opportunities to board a number of sites. Snowmobile Tours and activities are available in the region of Blewett Pass, which is south of Lake Wenatchee. The City of Leavenworth, is a shopper's paradise with its shops and themed restaurants in Bavaria, it is entertaining pleasure.
East of Lake Wenatchee, Leavenworth past, activities outdoor opportunities remain. Walking and mountain biking are outside the city of Kashmir in the area of Mission Creek, climbers can try their hand in everything Peshastin Pinnacles State Park has to offer, and of course, is fishing and boating on the mighty Columbia River, which flows only in Wenatchee, the largest city in the region.
Alpine skiing, mountain biking, horseback riding to rock climbing is hard to find a foot equality in diversity that this region has to offer. Lake Wenatchee has something to offer both fans of outdoor recreation, and casual tourists Motorhome or similar.
