The move to Seattle or San Francisco … HELP! Particular ship?
My wife and I are considering a move to Seattle or San Francisco. We are professional no children (an epidemiologist and a lawyer) who love the arts, wine, food, and shipping vessels. We are currently in Denver and are ready to move forward. So I'm looking for information on: # 1) The cost of living (I know it's high but not higher wages to cover this?) # 2) housing (an apartment in center with a home) # 3) restaurants, arts, etc. # 4) Can you actually own a boat? Any other privileged information would be fantastic. And I give thank you in advance!
Seattle or San Francisco …. Now that a little! Seattle certainly has a low SF COL! SF If you move, you proabably have to live in a the peripheral cities, and could have a good trip. Seattle also collapsed, but the shuttle is less distant. Answers about Seattle # 1) for food and services prices are reasonable. Auto tax is low. # 2) The median home price is about $ 300,000, I think. Renting an apartment in the city can run over $ 2,000 / month. # 3) An average meal for 2 with nice restaurant located in one or two glasses of wine will run about $ 80. You can go to some very cool joint and pay $ 200 – $ 400, as well:) A meal in a place like Olive Garden Outback Steakhouse or the cost of about $ 40. 4) You can own a ship, but the slides are hard to find and somewhat expensive. I know people who lived in Snohomish County (Everett area) that could find a slip on Everett marina. Seattle is a nice place to live. Much of the culture, many good food, great fun.
