Spiders in the Seattle area?

Hey guys, just wanted to hear from those in the region over the house of giant spiders living in the PNW. Are they really around each year in each house? I searched on Google and find it frightening. I visited Seattle and absolutely loved it (weather and all) and really want to move, but were totally afraid of spiders – however small – in my life. I fear that this would be the dealbreaker for me (as opposed to darkness and freezing rain in Seattle "), as crazy as that. From the north, I've never been in the vicinity of a large insect. I am afraid that if I ever encounter with one of these guys hanging around my house, I could have a heart attack. Seems exaggerated, but it's just the way they've always been. Please let me whether it really is as widespread as what I see, and if so, how the hell I can fix this? Thanks!

I've never seen spiders home always great! I livedhere my life, both in the suburbs and the city and had never seen!
