What do I get free channels to buy a plasma TV?

Last Christmas, my father bought a 42 inch LG plasma TV, and I realized i got some nice features to it besides the HDMI and PC inputs. After connecting to Comcast cable TV in the base that we I realized that there were more channels in the plasma, the old CRT TV that we had. theres these radio channels, TV Guide, TV, some channels of access to academia and others that I can not even begin to describe. These two issues ago that I was fine, but after two months of them with just disappeared. channels showed an entire movie without commercial interruption and without censorship, and a channel that had a live camera focused on the Seattle Space Needle. Comcast gives us this for free as a thing or try to simply discarded. How is the plasma can receive channels such as 5 years most of my TV model?

If someone has a satellite around her who could interceptt signal. The same thing happened to me.
