This is a fun place, you can take a ferry from Seattle?

My boyfriend and I want to take a ferry ride from Seattle, but we have a car. We'd like to hike, or we can take our bicycles and cycling. So basically, the question is whether it is a good place for hiking, cycling, horseback riding, bike / ferry served by ferry from Seattle.
