After 13 years of volunteering at an animal shelter?

CAN 13 (sooo close to being 14) volunteer at an animal shelter? I want really make a difference in life and help animals abused by his owner then dumped at the shelter. because the animal shelter in Seattle? I hate the way more and more beaten and want to help the shelter! I want to make a positive difference in life as King Luther Martin
